Services
Appointments can be either in-person or virtual.
I am only able to provide services to clients who live in the state of Colorado.
All sessions are 50 or 90 minutes.
Individual and Couples Counseling
Individual counseling is a one-on-one collaboration between the client and the therapist. Together, the client and therapist build a therapeutic relationship. This alliance provides a space where the client feels safe, in a nonjudgmental place, where they are free to process through struggles and explore areas of insight and growth.
Couples counseling is a relationship between the therapist and the couple. Neither partner is an individual client of the therapist. The therapist views their client as “the couple.” The therapist will work with the couple to understand the personal dynamics of the relationship and how the individuals can work together to strengthen communication, recognize and lean into repair efforts, and deepen the relational bond.
Telehealth Therapy
Telehealth provides an alternative option to participate in mental health therapy for individuals who want to obtain therapy without the requirement of attending sessions in a formal office setting. This is a way to make therapy accessible to individuals who have limited mobility, live significantly far from the office, or do not feel comfortable with in-person therapy. Telehealth is a safe space where you can engage in mental health therapy to process struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and grief & loss.
I have completed multiple telehealth provider trainings. I use a platform called doxy.me for video telehealth sessions. There are certain situations where telehealth is not an option for certain individuals. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss using telehealth to pursue your mental health goals.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that is designed to encourage a person to briefly focus on the trauma memory while at the same time experiencing bilateral stimulation (such as tapping or eye movements). This process is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment with extensive research to support its usage to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Recent research has shown that EMDR has been more effective than Prozac in trauma treatment. Ongoing clinical research shows EMDR may also be effective for the treatment of chronic pain, anxiety, depression, addictions, and various other stressful life experiences. You can find more information about EMDR at https://www.emdria.org/.
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment for PTSD that typically ranges from 8-15 sessions. Clinical research has shown CPT to be effective at reducing symptoms of PTSD from traumatic events such as combat, child abuse, rape, and natural disasters. CPT is considered an evidence-based treatment and endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The overall purpose of CPT is to help patients become aware of what beliefs and interpretations about the traumatic event have interfered with recovery and to thoroughly process their trauma. You can find more information about CPT at https://cptforptsd.com/.

Christian Counseling
Christian counseling is unique in that it is rooted in biblical principles to help clients who strive to make meaning of their struggles, heal, and grow from the experiences of their lives. For some clients, faith is a fundamental part of their life and can play a significant role in their need for and goals of counseling. I have a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute and decades of a personal relationship with Jesus. This gives me the ability to relate to clients whose faith is an integral part of their being.
I respect the diversity of beliefs and backgrounds of my clients. I do not impose my faith or values on anyone, but I offer a safe and supportive space for those who wish to explore and/or strengthen biblical principles as part of their healing process.
My payment policy is fee-for-service or Medicaid only. Standard session fees are $120 (50 min.) or $160 (90 min.). I do have a sliding scale for those who qualify.
I do not accept payment directly from any private insurance companies. However, I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement or super bill for reimbursement purposes.
